History at Thornhill will equip the children to make links between disciplinary concepts that are evident within a range of historical contexts. They should be knowledgeable about where the people and events they study fit within the chronological framework, drawing comparisons and contrasts between them within different periods. This will enable learners to develop substantive knowledge, confidently constructing their own conclusions about what happened in the past.
