Initial Kingswood Residential Meeting Year 4 and 5 Children - Kingswood Residential February 2026 Today the children have been given a letter about the proposed residential for February 2026. Children in Year 5 will be in Year 6 and children in Year 4 will be in Year 5 when the visit takes place. I am holding a meeting on Wednesday 15th January 2024 at 3:30pm to share information about the residential and to get an idea for numbers. This meeting may seem very early, which it is, but I want to give parents enough time to spread the cost of the visit. Please attend the meeting if you feel this is something you want your children to experience. If you can't attended, the PowerPoint will be shared and a letter explaining the next steps will be sent out.

Useful Websites to support learning

Use Numbots at home so your child can improve their recall and fluency in mental addition and subtraction, so that they move from counting to calculating.  Children should have their log in information in their reading records.  However, please contact us if they are having issues logging in.

Designed for use both in class and at home, our 1-minute maths app helps children build greater number confidence and fluency. It’s all about targeted practice in engaging, one-minute chunks!

Times Tables Rockstars is a great way for your child to learn their times tables in a fun way, battling it out with others, beating their previous times and making their way to becoming an ultimate Rock Legend.  Children should have their log in information in their reading records.  However, please contact us if they are having issues logging in.

Paint the Squares Number Charts is an interactive way to explore number patterns such as odd and even numbers, counting in multiples from times tables and ten more and ten less.

Hit the Button is an interactive maths game with quick fire questions on number bonds, times tables, doubling and halving, multiples, division facts and square numbers.

A versatile number line that can be used at many different levels.  Use the resource to support your understanding of placing numbers on number lines that are labelled, blank or have intervals.  In year 2, we want you to become secure at placing and estimating numbers up to 100.
