Useful Websites to support learning
Times Tables Rockstars is a great way for your child to learn their times tables in a fun way, battling it out with others, beating their previous times and making their way to becoming an ultimate Rock Legend. Children should have their log in information in their reading records. However, please contact us if they are having issues logging in.
IXL helps students master essential skills at their own pace through fun and interactive questions, built in support and motivating awards. There are a variety of questions based on the skills needed for Year 6 aswell as some games based on these skills. There is also an English section once you have navigated to the website.
BBC Education have produced a whole host of materials for KS2. Follow the KS2 link and then select either Maths or English. Each area usually has an information section for reading, plus an activity and then quiz which is marked online. Some aspects require a subscription.
CrickWeb provides a range of English games and activities.
Scratch is a great way for children to learn and practice their programming skills. Scratch promotes computational thinking and problem solving skills; creative teaching and learning; self-expression and collaboration.
